Day 1- Drive from Rishikesh to Sagar Village (216 km)
Start your journey by gathering at the meeting point in Rishikesh. From here, board a cab and drive towards Sagar Village, covering approximately 216 km. Enjoy stunning views of valleys and rivers throughout the drive. Upon arrival, settle in for an overnight stay at Sagar Village. Don’t miss visiting the Gopinath Temple, the winter abode of Rudranath Mahadev, to soak in the spiritual atmosphere and prepare for the trek ahead.
Day 2- Sagar Village to Lwiti Bugyal (8 km trek)
Gear up for an exciting day as the trek begins from Sagar Village. Pass through the charming hamlet, and within 2 hours, reach Pung Bugyal. Ahead lies a steep climb through dense forests and adventurous trails with natural water sources along the way. The trek covers 8 km, leading to Lwiti Bugyal, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful overnight stay amidst scenic landscapes.
Itineary
Day 3- Lwiti Bugyal to Rudranath Temple (14 km trek)
Start your day with breathtaking morning views at Lwiti Bugyal. Today’s trek is easier, covering 12 km to the Rudranath Temple. You can leave your bags at the campsite for a more comfortable hike. Upon reaching the temple, offer your prayers and witness the serene atmosphere. Attend the enchanting evening aarti and spend the night at Rudranath Temple, surrounded by tranquility.
Day 4- Rudranath Temple to Sagar Village (22 km trek)
Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise and visit the temple for a peaceful start to your day. Begin your descent to Sagar Village, taking breaks to enjoy the views. Rest and relax upon arrival, with an overnight stay at Rudra Hotel Sagar Village
Day 5- Sagar Village to Kalpeshwar and Rishikesh
Pack your belongings and head towards Kalpeshwar, another sacred Panch Kedar site. After visiting Kalpeshwar, drive back to Rishikesh. On the way, stop at Devprayag, the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, forming the holy Ganga. End your trek with a soulful experience before returning to Rishikesh.
